Dina Meyer was born and raised at Forest Hills Queens New York. Before she finished her junior year, she relocated to Queens to Dix Hills Long Island. Her siblings include two younger ones and a brother who is older. At the age of 9 until 16, she began working in the entertainment business via modeling. Her acting education began in The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York in which she learned Sanford Meisner's acting techniques, with Ron Stetson, for about three years. The other actors who received such training are Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, as well as other people. Her debut role was Beverly Hills 90210 which forced her to make the move from Beverly Hills to Los Angeles. After landing the lead role for Johnny Mnemonic where she did most of the stunts on her own, she proved her self as an actor athletic. She was also represented by Matt LeBlanc, so through her agent for talent, she was able to land a regular role on Friends.
